Year 3
Welcome to Year 3, an exciting and important year where, children are supported in making the transition from Infant School to Junior School. We recognise that this is a significant step, and we place a strong emphasis on helping every child feel happy, confident and settled as they begin this new stage of their learning journey.

Year 3 children are based in their own self-contained building, providing a nurturing environment where they can develop independence while still feeling secure. They also begin to make greater use of the wider school, visiting the main building for library sessions, PE lessons, assemblies and lunchtime.
Our engaging curriculum encourages curiosity and a love of learning through a range of fascinating topics. Children explore life in Ancient Britain, discover the achievements of the Ancient Greeks, and learn about the Tudors and their influence on history. They also develop their geographical understanding by studying the rainforest of Brazil and the diverse landscapes of Italy.
Throughout the year, we focus on building positive relationships, developing a strong sense of belonging and creating memorable learning experiences. Above all, we want children to feel valued, challenged and inspired while having fun as they learn, grow and thrive together in Year 3.
